Author Evan Wolfson Talks Same-Sex Marriage
11/4/2009
By Jes Burns

Today the issue of same sex marriage is once again in the headlines as the final ballots in Maine and Washington State are counted.  Maine's law legalizing same-sex marriage has been overturned.  But a little closer to home, voters in Washington State appear to have upheld the so-called "everything but marriage" domestic partnership legislation.

KLCC's Jes Burns sat down this afternoon with “Freedom to Marry” executive director Evan Wolfson and Basic Rights Oregon's Jeana Frazzini to talk about the current state of the marriage equality movement - and a new campaign launched this week in Oregon

She asked them why gay rights advocates in Oregon's neighbor-to-the-north were successful.
