The current economic downturn does not only affect people; it can have a profound influence on the lives of the animals in our community.  When times are tough, pets are often low on the totem pole of family priorities.  And at least one local animal shelter is seeing changes in thier intake level.  For this week's edition of Sound Economies, reporter Rachael McDonald spoke with Cary Leiberman of Eugene's Greenhill Humane Society.
