Daisy the Dog Recovering From Stab Wounds

Eugene Police

A dog who had been found with stab wounds earlier this month in Eugene is recovering.

The pooch was found April 12th on 6th Avenue. It was bleeding. Animal welfare officer Shawni McLaughlin responded and took the dog named Daisy to the Emergency Vet. The owner signed Daisy over to the city because he could not afford to give her the care she will need. It’s still unknown who stabbed her and Eugene police are seeking tips on the case. Daisy, who’s described as a sweet dog is at First Avenue Animal Shelter in Eugene. Daisy will eventually be available for adoption once she recovers from her wounds. Keep an eye on the First Avenue Shelter website to find out when Daisy is up for adoption.
