Florence Schools Released Early Due to High Winds

Wikipedia

Florence-area students were released early today in advance of a potentially strong windstorm. District buses started to leave schools at about 12:30 p.m. All afternoon and evening activities districtwide are being canceled.

The National Weather Service has put a high-wind warning in effect until 6 p.m. today for the north and central coast, between Astoria and Florence. The forecast calls for south to southeast winds between 30 and 40 m.p.h. with gusts as high as 70 or 75 m.p.h. near beaches and headlands.
