A memorial celebration for former University of Oregon President Dave Frohnmayer will be held March 21st at the University of Oregon.
Frohnmayer died Monday night in Eugene. He had quietly fought prostate cancer for more than 5 years. The 74-year old was O of O president for 15 years. He served as Oregon Attorney General for 10 years. Governor Kate Brown ordered flags to be at half-staff across the state to honor Frohnmayer on the day of his memorial.
The celebration of life will be at 2 p.m. Saturday March 21st at Matthew Knight Arena. Frohnmayer's family has asked that memorial contributions go to the Fanconi Anemia Research Fund 1801 Willamette St., Suite 200, Eugene, Oregon 97401.
