Cooler weather helped crews get a handle on a fire burning west of Junction City.
The 200-acre High Pass Fire is 60 percent contained. A level one evacuation notice was lifted for nearby residents this weekend. The Oregon Department of Forestry says more than 400 personnel are assigned to the fire. Operations Section Chief Matt Flock told fire crews Monday: “Don’t plan on the forecasted rain to put out this fire out. It’s you guys that will put this fire out”
