This is Sandy Brown Jensen, and you’re listening to Viz City, KLCC’s arts review program, today reporting to you from the famous Louisiana Museum of Modern Art just north of Copenhagen, Denmark.

The Louisiana has a wonderful special exhibit up of a painter new to me, Gabriele Munter. Her fame used to be as Russian painter Kandinsky’s partner, but feminist art history scholars have brought her out of the shadows and into the light where her bold colors and strong compositions belong.

Viz City was pleased to interview painter Satoko Motouji on Thursday. April 5, 2018 for a broadcast date of Wed. April 18, 2018. The show is at the White Lotus Gallery and is called "Peer Gynt: Paintings by Satoko Motouji." The exhibition dates are March 28 – May 12, 2018.

This year, Erik retired, relocated to Portland, and is now a full-time artist, To celebrate this transition, gallerist Karin Clarke curated this impressive show of nearly 40 paintings, mostly watercolors and acrylics on panel, all landscapes and seascapes
