From the mystical desert to the ethereal emerald secrets of Eugene, Martin P. King has been collecting components for his 60 Billion Dollar Peace Machine at every stop along the way. He'll grab a note, a spectral thought, or a fleeting feeling, and place it where it needs to go, creating his sonic Peace Machine organically. After a decade of field research, music has called him back, offering messages both new and old in musical ruminations that wrestle with nothing less than the vast perspectives of humanity. Martin P. King has been playing trumpet, keys, and bass guitar since 2006. He has received outstanding musicianship awards at the Reno Jazz Festival as well as first place with his combo, performing on the main stage of the RJF. His current journey has him completing his undergraduate Jazz Studies degree at the University of Oregon and playing in various off-campus projects as a hired horn. He is also a core member of Eugene heavy-metal trio, “Milton.” Catch him performing all around the Emerald State.
