The deadline quickly approaches for Oregonians who want coverage through the Oregon Health Insurance Marketplace. There is one week left to enroll.
Those who already have a 2017 health plan through the website, healthcare.gov are advised to update their income information and then shop around. Plan prices and benefits change each year.
Chiqui Flowers is Administrator of the Oregon Health Insurance Marketplace. She says last year, more than 70% who applied, qualified for financial assistance.
“So this year, individuals who make less than about $48,000 per year, or families of four making less than about $98,000 per year, may qualify for a tax credit to help pay for their health insurance.”
Flowers says there are more than 60,000 Oregon enrollees so far. The last chance to get coverage through the Oregon Health Insurance Marketplace is midnight December 15th.
