In a rematch of the 2012 Rose Bowl, No. 6 Oregon will meet No. 8 Wisconsin in the 106th Rose Bowl in Pasadena, Ca., on New Year’s Day.
This will be the eighth appearance in the Rose Bowl for the Ducks (11-2), who claimed the Pac-12 Championship by beating No. 5 Utah 37-15 last Friday. After that dominating win, Oregon jumped 7 spots to No. 6 in the final 2019 College Football Playoff rankings. Wisconsin (10-3) stayed at Number 8 after their loss to Ohio State in the Big 10 Championship.
Oregon won its last two appearances in the "Granddaddy of them all", beating Florida State 59-20 in the semifinals of the College Football Playoffs in 2015 and Wisconsin 45-38 in 2012. The Ducks are 3-4 all-time in the Rose Bowl.
The 2:00pm News Year’s Day game will be televised on ESPN.
