The Oregon Ducks are the Pac-12 football champs once again after their 31-24 victory over USC at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum Friday night. This was Oregon’s second consecutive Pac-12 title and their fourth overall- the most of any school in the Pac-12 conference.

Oregon back-up quarterback Anthony Brown was pulled in to the game in key short-yardage and goal line situations and threw two touchdown passes in his debut. Defensive end Kayvon Thibodeaux, who finished with five tackles, a sack, two tackles for losses, and a pass breakup, was named the Most Valuable Player.

Ducks’ safety Jamal Hill had two interceptions, including a key snag with just 2:47 to play. Travis Dye led the team in rushing with 55 yards on 11 carries while catching a team-high three passes for 17 yards and a touchdown.

No. 13 USC (5-1), the Pac- 12 South division champions were undefeated heading in to the game. The Ducks (4-2) were the second place finishers in the Pac-12 North division behind Washington, but with the Huskies sidelined by COVID-19 protocols, Oregon slid in to the championship match-up.
