While a grand jury last week declined to press charges against a Eugene man accused of a deliberate hit-and-run, he is facing several citations.

An EPD spokesperson says Travis Paul Waleri has been cited for Careless Driving; Failure to Stop and Remain Stopped for a Pedestrian; and Driving the Wrong Way in a Traffic Circle.  The incident happened June 28th during a Black Unity Children’s Parade.

As of press time, it’s unknown what fees may be imposed, and if Waleri will appear in court.

Meanwhile, Isiah Wagoner, the Black activist who Waleri’s vehicle came into contact with, says he’s pursuing the matter now as a civil case.
