Amy Shadell, General Manager of Noble Estate, says their winemaker, Mark Jurasevitch’s sons are wildland firefighters. To see the devastation of the fires burning now in California is especially painful. “It’s heartbreaking to see what’s happened and to see what’s continuing to happen and especially this time of year.” Shadell says, “We’re right before Thanksgiving. These people were preparing for the holidays and now they’ve lost everything. So, we just want to do what we can.”The benefit will raise money for California Fire Foundation’s SAVE (Supplying Aid to Victims of Emergency) Program. There will also be a raffle for a family with Eugene connections who lost their home to the Camp Fire in Paradise. The event is Saturday from 4 to 10 p.m. at Noble Estate’s urban winery in West Eugene.
