The Deception Complex fire near Oakridge was stalled by recent cooler, wetter weather, and remains 55% contained as of Tuesday afternoon. Firefighters hope to get a lot of work done before hotter and drier weather returns. Sarah Saarloos is with the Deception Complex:
Sarloos: “In the next day or two you could see an increase in smoke, and that’s part of our operation to be able to strengthen our containment lines.”
Saarloos says firefighters will be burning fuel at the edge of the fire in an attempt to prevent it from spreading.
