Friends Of Missing U Of O Student Launch Fundraiser, Hire P.I.

Friends of a missing University of Oregon student and former bartender have now started a GoFundMe.com account.  KLCC’s Brian Bull reports.

41-year-old Jim Cross of Eugene was last seen December 12th by neighbors.  His friend, Jill Brazier says she and others have hired a private investigator.

“Not because we don’t trust that the case isn’t in good hands with the Eugene Police Department, but just because we have to try every single thing and the more eyes out there looking for Jim, the better," says Brazier.

Photos of James (Jim) Wayne Cross, including close-ups of his arm tattoos.

"With the cold obviously, and the amount of time that has gone by…we’re extremely concerned about his well being.”

Donations to the GoFundMe.com account will cover investigator fees, as well as flyers, Cross’ bills, and care for his pet rabbit.

Cross is six feet tall, with dark brown beard and tattoos on each arm.  Brazier says there were unconfirmed leads he was seen in Springfield (Oregon) recently.

Anyone with information on Cross can call the Eugene Police Department at (541)682-5111.
