Health Officials Report 3 New Cases Of COVID-19 In Lane County

Centers for Disease Control and Prevention

Lane County Public Health reported three new positive tests of COVID-19, on Sunday. The three new cases are from residents living in the Eugene-Springfield area. This brings the total number of COVID-19 cases in Lane County to 12, including one death.

The newest case reported Sunday afternoon, is a woman in her 30s. Her case is believed to be travel-related, according to Lane County Public Health. She’s home and in medically stable condition.

The two other cases were reported Sunday morning. Both are in their 40s and are members of the same household. They are currently medically stable at home and a communicable disease investigation is underway.

Individuals who had contact with these community members are being contacted by Lane County Public Health to work with health care providers on next steps. If a point of contact exposure is identified that information will be shared with the public, according to Lane County Public Health.
