LTD to Require Face Masks for All Passengers

Lane Transit District

Beginning Thursday, Lane Transit District is requiring all passengers wear a face mask covering their nose and mouth.

LTD is following recommendations from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. They suggest that anyone leaving their home should use face coverings to limit their potential exposure to COVID-19.

All LTD bus operators and essential staff will also begin wearing face masks on Wednesday.

LTD has updated their social distancing practices by only allowing 15 passengers on a 40-foot bus, and 20 passengers on longer buses like the EM-X.

Lane County buses will continue to operate on an enhanced Sunday-level service Mondays through Fridays. There is limited service on routes 92 and 96, but service hours have been expanded on core routes: EmX, 11, 13, 24, 36, 41, 51, 66, & 67.

Buses will leave the Eugene and Springfield Stations at 7:30 a.m., and the last buses will leave at 10:30 p.m.

There will be a normal Sunday-level service on Saturdays. LTD is not operating on Sundays.

LTD’s paratransit service, RideSource, will operate on a normal Sunday-level service Mondays through Saturdays for essential trips. On Sundays, RideSource will operate on a Sunday-level service for medically essential trips only.
