Oregon Ski Areas Have New Snow and New Policies

SkiHoodoo.com

Oregon ski resorts are eager to offer a healthy way to have fun this winter, and they’ve added new pandemic safety protocols.

“Use your vehicle as a base camp” is a refrain at Oregon ski areas this year, and it’s important to check COVID-19 policies before you go.

Hoodoo’s Marketing Director Leif Williams said they have to limit their lodge to 50 guests, “So we’ve really changed our rental system. Pretty much everything is going to be through a window. We have our typical ticket sale window. And then, we are also going to implement several different points of sale for grab-and-go items for the restaurant.”

Williams said face coverings are required in the lodge and in all lines. Hoodoo is open, to season pass holders only, this weekend. Willamette Pass owner Tim Wiper said recent snow was not sufficient, so December 4th is their earliest possible start date. Mount Bachelor requires parking reservations, and will open to pass-holders December 7th.
