PeaceHealth opened a same-day clinic in South Eugene on July 22nd.
Located at Woodfield Station, this clinic will allow people to make quick turn-around appointments for minor illnesses and injuries.
Brad Wakefield, vice president of operations, says same-day clinics are more common in larger cities.
“In those major cities, they haven’t really done the same amount of work in smaller metropolitan areas,” says Wakefield. “So I think PeaceHealth saw an opportunity to do that and also just to provide more access and more ways of being able to access health care for all the people in our communities.”
The clinic is first opening with limited hours, then expand in September to be open eight to seven pm, seven days a week.
