Some previously closed roads have been partially re-opened today, while others are still blocked by downed trees and power lines. Highway 38 is now open from Reedsport to I5. Oregon 138W continues to be closed to through traffic, but is expected to be open later tonight.
Highway 58 is closed for over 70 miles, from Lowell to Oakridge. ODOT has opened a “lifeline” route to Oakridge on 58 and will continue to escort mission critical services into Oakridge and get stranded motorists out. There is no estimate when 58 will re-open.
There was a major landslide on highway 101 on Wednesday, north of Brookings, so that area is closed.
