Lane County Sheriff’s Deputies, Oregon State Police and the Eugene Police responded to a shooting in the River Road area at 1:13 p.m. Wednesday. Three adults were wounded and the shooter is confirmed to have killed himself with a gun.

Eugene Police Chief Chris Skinner said law enforcement on-scene have determined the shooting was an isolated incident.

“Our best guess right now, is some level of neighborhood dispute that just went way out of control. But we won’t know that until we canvass the neighborhood, do all of our interviews and then actually do the good interviews of the victims that are at the hospital.”

Chief Skinner said there doesn’t appear to be a relationship among those involved, other than they were neighbors. EPD has identfied the suspect as 66-year-old Carlos Alberto Angelo.

The condition of the three victims is unknown, but Skinner said they were quickly transported to a hospital. The victims include a 70-year-old female and 2 males ages, 44 and 27. The investigation is ongoing.
