Sold Out Performance of Eugene Symphony Goes Digital

Francesco Lecce-Chong

Music, from Bob Dylan to Antonio Vivaldi, can be a balm in these uncertain times.

“The Four Seasons of the McKenzie River” premieres online Saturday night and will be available for 45 days. Music director and conductor of the Eugene Symphony, Francesco Lecce-Chong, says his recommendations for listening are to “gather everyone in your household, drink something tasty and just relax - let the music do the work.”

Find Lecce-Chong's music recommendations, educational videos and more here.

Lecce-Chong is sheltering in place in Miami with his fiancée, harpist Chloe Tula. He says he’s currently listening to music that’s comforting, but that can also take him on a journey.

Born and raised in Eugene, Anni started at KLCC in 2000 as a reporter and co-host of Northwest Passage. After graduating from the University of Oregon, Anni moved to New York City. She interned at WNYC's On The Media, then becoming WNYC's assistant producer of Morning Edition.
