Some Eugene Public Gardens Are Closed During Two-week Freeze

Rachael McDonald

Eugene Parks and Open Space has made some temporary changes in response to Governor Brown’s statewide freeze.

The Rhododendron Garden and Native Plant Garden at Hendricks Park are closed during the 2-week period. The Owen Rose Garden is also closed. Community gardens are only open for harvesting produce. All volunteer events are canceled.
Eugene’s parks, trails, and natural areas are open for use with physical distancing. Masks are required when six feet of distance cannot be maintained. Eugene Parks strongly recommends wearing masks on its paths and trails.
