A three-day workshop on developing new concepts for Eugene’s River Road Corridor started today.
The City of Eugene, Lane Transit District, and SERA Architecture are asking residents, property owners, and business owners how they want development to go over a 20-year period.
City planner, Eric Brown, says the workshops cover transportation options, financial strategies, and concepts that will inform the design process.
“And we’ll come back in late spring, early summer to talk with community members and business owners again, and arrive at some decisions about which design concepts move forward into a decision-making process.”
The open-house style workshops are being held at the Emergency Services Training Center in Eugene. They wrap up Wednesday.
Finalized designs and adoption of a development plan are scheduled for early 2020.
