As the New Year begins, it’s time to start thinking about ways to dispose of holiday waste. Lane County’s WasteWise has suggested ways to recycle electronics, trees and holiday packaging.

According to ownership statistics published by the Washington Post, there are more pet cats than dogs in the U.S.  If you’re a feline fan, here are some warnings about holiday hazards over this “shut in” season.

Whether it’s changes to travel plans or the size of gatherings, this year’s holiday season will be atypical for many people. Area farms and butchers have made a few changes in 2020, but there should be plenty of turkey and other locally-raised meat to gobble up this Thanksgiving.
