The American Civil Liberties Union of Oregon was in Federal Court in Eugene Wednesday, over the inhumane treatment of Roseburg woman while she was in the Douglas County Jail. The lawsuit alleges a medical contractor withheld medication as a form of punishment.

About 4 dozen people held a noon rally at the Eugene Federal Building Friday to protest the Trump Administration’s immigration policies. It was part of a national day of protest organized by the American Civil Liberties Union.

Groups Gather To Show Support For Young Immigrants

Some Oregonians are concerned for the thousands of children crossing the southern U.S. border from Central America. Last week, a small group gathered in Portland to express concerns holding up signs welcoming the young immigrants.
