Due to the COVID-19 outbreak, non-essential surgeries have been put on hold. That includes life-altering procedures, such as gender affirming surgeries. On Tuesday, Basic Rights Oregon held a town hall to hear patients’ questions about their procedures. 


A gay and transgender rights group and the ACLU are working to get a lawsuit against the Dallas School District dismissed. At issue is whether transgender students should have access to restrooms and other facilities that match their gender identity.  KLCC’s Brian Bull reports.

Springfield's largest employer, Symantec, is one of two Oregon businesses being recognized for its LGBT Inclusion in the workplace.

Basic Rights Oregon honored Symantec and Portland metro's New Seasons Market last week at a luncheon. Seven years ago, Symantec employee Cass Avrill told his manager he was transitioning. He says he was surprised by the companies' reaction.
