Jazz at Lincoln Center has been dedicated to the performance, education and preservation of jazz for over 25 years, all with Wynton Marsalis as Artistic Director. Wynton Marsalis joins Eric Alan for conversation and music, before the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra performs at the Hult Center on March 5th.

Eugene Ballet: From Scheherazade to Ailey II

Eugene Ballet Company presents two diverse events in February. First, Scheherazade and Bolero, with live music by Orchestra Next. Then, they’ll host Ailey II—the junior dance company of Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater—for performances in Eugene and Salem. Nearly fifty years into his recording career, Boz Scaggs is making some of his best soul music. He’ll appear at the Hult Center in Eugene on February 8th, touring behind his new CD Memphis. Music new and old from Boz, mixed with his conversation with Eric Alan about the magic of recording where Al Green did, forays into jazz, and the mix of music in Saturday’s show. 

The 20th annual Dance for a Reason benefit performance brings an eclectic array of dancers together at the Hult Center on Friday, January 24th, as a benefit for the Lane County School Garden Project. Eric Alan speaks with Dance for a Reason founder Geni Morrow and John Moriarty, Executive Director of the School Garden Project.
