A new apartment complex in Downtown Eugene’s Market District is releasing a general wait-list next week. The 50 unit facility will be for low-income tenants.

More than $235,000 in federal money has been awarded to a Eugene non-profit. As KLCC’s Brian Bull reports, this will help support what’s called “high barrier” housing residents.

Next month, construction will begin on Lane County’s newest housing project to address chronic homelessness. The 51-unit complex, called The Commons on MLK, will go up across the street from Autzen Stadium in Eugene. KLCC’s Tiffany Eckert walked the site and has this report.

Homes for Good is developing a new affordable housing complex on the corner of 6th and Oak Street in Eugene.

A new affordable housing community had its grand opening in Lane County, Monday. The Oaks at 14th will provide housing to an especially underserved population: people with criminal histories who have served their time and want to rejoin society.

In Springfield faith and service organizations continue to help homeless folks find shelter and get in to housing. They also help low income people pay rent. There’s little to no emergency shelter available in the city, and thousands of names are on the wait list for subsidized housing.
