Last week the Pac-12 announced a shift to a conference-only fall schedule amid growing concerns over the coronavirus pandemic.

The Pac-12 Conference has announced that voluntary, in-person athletic workouts for all sports can begin as early as mid-June.

The University of Oregon women’s basketball team is lamenting the sudden end to the post-season.

On Thursday, the NCAA announced plans to cancel the Division I men’s and women’s 2020 basketball tournaments, known as March Madness. This, a day after the organization released a statement indicating the games would go on, but without fans in attendance.

In a statement, the NCAA indicated the decision was “based on the evolving COVID-19 public health threat.” They added the move is meant to “ensure the events do not contribute to spread of the pandemic.”

Oregon women’s basketball won their second Pac-12 Tournament title in the last three years, rolling past Stanford in the championship game in Las Vegas on Sunday. The Ducks' 89-56 victory was their 19th straight win.

The top-seeded Oregon Women’s Basketball team is set to face No. 8 Utah on Friday in the Pac-12 tournament in Las Vegas. The Ducks are coming off victories at home last weekend where they won the regular season championship for a third year in a row.

No. 3 Oregon clinched their third straight outright Pac-12 championship on Friday night with their 88-57 win over Washington State in front of a sellout crowd at Matthew Knight Arena.

Ruthy Hebard had 28 points and 14 rebounds for her 15th double-double, and the 54th of her career. Satou Sabally added 22 for the Ducks before she left the game in the 3rd quarter with an apparent ankle injury.

The No. 3 University of Oregon's Women's basketball team is ready for the final round of Pac-12 play. This weekend's Senior Day will be especially celebratory.

No. 9 Oregon State fell in overtime, 65-58, to No. 12 Arizona in Corvallis on Sunday. The Beavers' Mikayla Pivec had 15 points and 11 rebounds in the loss.

It was another full house at sold out Matthew Knight Arena on Sunday, and another Duck win as No. 3 Oregon defeated No.19 Arizona State, 79-48, in front of 12,364 fans.

Sabrina Ionescu earned her 24th career triple-double Friday night as No. 3 Oregon dominated No. 12 Arizona at Matthew Knight Arena. Ionescu had 15 points, 11 rebounds, and 10 assists, extending her lead as the all-time triple-double leader in NCAA history in the 85-52 win.

It was all Ducks on Monday night in what was billed to be one of their toughest battles so far this season. Ruthy Hebard had 22 points and 12 rebounds to help No. 3 Oregon beat fourth-ranked Connecticut 74-56, handing the Huskies their first loss on campus in seven years.

It might be considered a rivalry, but the Civil War series between the Oregon and Oregon State women’s basketball teams is a celebration of Oregon as a whole. That was part of the message from Ducks coach Kelly Graves after his team topped the Beavers 76-64 on Friday night in a sold-out Matthew Knight Arena.

The Oregon Ducks are hoping to start the next decade with a Rose Bowl title.

In a rematch of the 2012 Rose Bowl, No. 6 Oregon (11-2) will meet No. 8 Wisconsin (10-3) in the 106th Rose Bowl on New Year’s Day.

This will be the eighth appearance in the Rose Bowl for the 2019 Pac-12 champion Ducks. Oregon won its last two match-ups in the "Granddaddy of them all", beating Florida State in2015 and Wisconsin in 2012. The Ducks are 3-4 all-time in the Rose Bowl.

No. 13 Oregon claimed the Pac-12 Championship title Friday night with their 37-15 upset win over No. 5 Utah at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, Ca.

The Ducks were on top from the start, scoring on their first drive and leading 20-0 at the half. Utah made a push in the third quarter, scoring 15 points, but Oregon held them at that score for the remainder of the game. Oregon’s CJ Verdell ran for 208 yards and broke open the game with two long touchdown runs in the fourth quarter.

University of Oregon football ended up at No. 13 for the 2019 season, and on Friday they’ll play for the Pac-12 title.

Oregon came out on top in Saturday’s 123rd Civil War football game, beating Oregon State 24-10.

The No. 14 Ducks wrapped up the regular season with a perfect record at home for the eighth time.

Senior Quarterback and Eugene native Justin Herbert threw for 174 yards and a touchdown in his final game at Autzen Stadium.

Oregon State’s loss meant the Beavers were denied a bid for bowl eligibility in coach Jonathan Smith’s second year. OSU hasn’t made a postseason appearance since 2013.

Oregon prevailed in a narrow win Saturday night against Washington State (4-4) at a sold out Autzen stadium.

The Cougars scored a touchdown to take a 1-point lead with only a minute left in the game, but a strong offensive drive down the field allowed Oregon’s freshman Camden Lewis to kick a 26-yard field goal as the clocked expired to take the 37-35 win. The victory moved the Ducks to 7-1 on the season and snapped a four game losing streak to the Cougars.

Oregon’s CJ Verdell ran for a career-high 257 yards and three touchdowns for the Ducks.

College basketball season is fast approaching and polls released Monday have local women’s teams faring well this year.

Both the University of Oregon and Oregon State University scored Pac-12 football wins Saturday night.

The No. 13 Ducks (4-1) had a rough start to their match up with Cal (4-2) at Autzen Stadium in Eugene, with three early turnovers and an interception, and went into the half scoreless and down by seven. The Ducks took the lead in the third quarter and topped the bears with a final score of 17-7.

The University of Oregon’s Women’s Basketball team was already on a high from earning back to back regular season Pac-12 championships this week, and then the team received two esteemed awards from the conference on Tuesday.

The University of Oregon’s bid to repeat as PAC-12 tournament champions was squandered Thursday night by the same team they defeated last year to win it all.  UCLA blew the game open in the second half to win by 19.

The game was a back and forth affair for most of the first half, but UCLA got hot shooting and opened up a 20 point lead with five minutes go.  They held on to win 82-63.  Oregon’s Joe Young scored a game-high 29 points, but no other Duck broke into double figures.

It was a Civil War battle Wednesday night in the first round of the PAC-12 Tournament.  The number Ducks played the Beavers in Las Vegas, and the U of O walked away with the victory. 

Oregon and Oregon State had already met twice this season, with each team chalking a win.  The Ducks entered the PAC-12 Tournament with momentum though, having won their previous seven games.
