Oregon women’s basketball’s “Big Three” are looking forward to Friday’s WNBA draft. After winning the Pac-12 Championship, the Ducks hopes for a national title were dashed when the NCAA Tournament was cancelled due to Coronavirus concerns.
Oregon’s Sabrina Ionescu was unanimously selected as the AP women’s National Player of the Year on Monday. Ionescu is the first Duck to ever win the award, and only the second ever recipient to be selected unanimously.
The Pac-12 champion and third-ranked University of Oregon Women’s basketball team closed out their regular season with a win over Washington at home in front of a sold out Matthew Knight Arena on Sunday.
Sabrina Ionescu earned her 24th career triple-double Friday night as No. 3 Oregon dominated No. 12 Arizona at Matthew Knight Arena. Ionescu had 15 points, 11 rebounds, and 10 assists, extending her lead as the all-time triple-double leader in NCAA history in the 85-52 win.
