A winter storm is bringing hazardous travel conditions to parts of Oregon this Thanksgiving week. The hardest-hit spots are the Cascades passes and I-5 in southwest Oregon. Some snow is also forecast to fall in the Willamette Valley, although accumulation should be no more than an inch or two in most places on the valley floor.
Lane County Public Works will open new disposal sites for debris that fell during February’s snowstorm. For the next three Saturdays, trees, limbs, and branches will be accepted in Rattlesnake, Marcola, and Oakridge.
