Oregon reports record daily coronavirus cases

The Oregon Health Authority Friday reported 550 new confirmed and presumptive cases of coronavirus.

That’s the highest daily case count since the beginning of the pandemic. OHA also reported three new deaths. Oregon’s COVID-19 death toll stands at 649 people.

The county with the most new cases is Multnomah, with 135 known cases Friday. Washington County also saw 91 cases, followed by Lane County with 52 new cases.

OHA said in a statement the high case count is again a “reminder that Oregonians cannot let their guards down.”
