A group that’s trying to ban aerial pesticide spraying in Lincoln County says it’s exhausted its final appeal to have its voter-approved initiative reinstated. The ban was in effect for more than two years, but in 2019 a judge overturned the initiative, saying a state law preempted any local bans. Now, backers of the initiative say the Oregon Supreme Court has declined to take up the case, meaning the ban is effectively dead.
