Three firefighters have been killed battling a wildfire in North Central Washington. Confirmation came from Governor Jay Inslee’s office just hours after residents were ordered to evacuate the towns of Twisp and Winthrop abruptly. Four other firefighters are being treated for injuries sustained battling the same blaze in the Methow Valley, the site of the largest wildfire in Washington State history just last year.
