A structure fire downtown closed a portion of highway 99 in Junction City on Monday.
Police responded to a call around 1:20 a.m. Monday morning and reported a fully involved structure fire. Police are currently investigating the cause, but say there are some indicators that the start of the fire is suspicious in nature.
Highway 99 is currently closed from 6th street to 8th street so police can clear debris and catalogue evidence. They anticipate the road could be closed for the next four or more hours.
