A frozen food plant in Albany has been fined $2,000 by the state of Oregon following an outbreak of COVID-19 there affected nearly three dozen people.
The penalty comes after Oregon OSHA says it received multiple complaints about working conditions at the National Frozen Foods facility. The agency interviewed employees who said they had to work less than six feet apart on production lines. That would violate the state’s physical distancing guidelines that are meant to slow the spread of the coronavirus.
