Controlled Burns on the Central Coast Today

The Oregon Department of Forestry is performing several slash-burning operations on the Oregon coast on Wednesday that you’ll be able to see from Highway 101 (from Lincoln City to Waldport) and Highway 20 (from Newport and Toledo).

If you see these fires, no action is needed. The Department of Forestry has this interactive website, where you can see where controlled burns are taking place across the state.
