The Oregon Department of Forestry says recent rains have eased the fire danger in more parts of western Oregon. The agency says starting Tuesday, it’s declaring an end to the fire season in three of its districts: West Oregon, Western Lane and South Cascade districts.
Those include Lane, Lincoln, Benton, and Polk Counties, and parts of Linn and Yamhill Counties.
While the change means fewer restrictions on fires, officials urge Oregonians to use caution even during cooler and wetter weather.
