The FDA has authorized a Pfizer-Biontech Covid-19 vaccine for children ages 5-11. The lower-dose formulation of the vaccine used in adults was found to be safe and 90.7 percent effective in preventing covid-19.

Dr. Patrick Luedtke, Lane County Senior Public Health Officer, talks with KLCC's Rachael McDonald about how the vaccine roll-out will take place and answers questions from listeners.
