Number 1 Seeded Ducks Advance To Softball Super Regional

The #1 ranked University of Oregon softball team advanced to the NCAA Super Regions with a win Sunday over Wisconsin.  The Ducks won 6-0 in the Regional tournament final in Eugene. 

Now Oregon advances to the next round of the post season, which begins at 7pm Saturday at Howe Field on the University of Oregon campus.  They'll take on #16 ranked Minnesota.

The University of Oregon Women's softball team continued their push for a title Saturday with a 6-1 win against the Wisconsin Badgers in the second game of the NCAA tournament. The game was tied at one until the 6th inning when the Ducks made their move.

"All the way to the gate and here come the Ducks, the runners are circling the wagons. One run in, two run in, two run double for Janie Takeda."

The call is courtesy of GoDucks.com. Oregon Starting pitcher Cheridan Hawkins allowed just one run on two hits with 11 strikeouts. It was her 11th game of the year with double-digit strikeouts. The Ducks play today (Sunday) at 11am in the regional championship, the game time was moved due to weather. Oregon entered the tournament ranked first in the nation.
