In Fifth Straight Win, Ducks Victorious Over Trojans

Statesman Journal

Vernon Adams threw six touchdowns, leading No. 23 University of Oregon to victory against No. 22 University of Southern California Saturday. The  game was the 5th straight win for the Ducks.

When asked – tongue in cheek – how he would explain himself to the one receiver who didn't get to catch a touchdown, Adams laughed.

Adams: "Man. You know, I was trying to get everybody. You know, trying my best. Honestly, it's all glory to God. Man, I can't express enough. Even on social media – you all see me – I'm so blessed, I'm so happy and so thankful for that. We're on this winning streak and God's blessed me with this opportunity."

The Ducks haven't lost since Adams returned from a finger injury he sustained in the season opener against Eastern Washington.

In Corvallis, the University of Washington had an easy time putting away Oregon State, taking a 28-0 lead in the first quarter, tying a Washington record for most points scored in the opening quarter.
