Rufus Wainwright, Out of the Game

While in Eugene for a performance at the John G. Shedd Institute for the Arts, Rufus Wainwright joined Eric Alan in the KLCC studios for music from his new CD Out of the Game, as well as for conversation about the songs, how opera saved him, and the necessity of taking time to stare at Oregon trees. We present two versions here: an edited interview interspersed with music from Out of the Game, and an extended interview-only version, in which Rufus discusses his tributes to Judy Garland and Kate McGarrigle, and life in his complex musical family.
