Raw Canvas is a solo, one-act play written by playwright Barratt Walton for actress Nancy Hopps fourteen years ago. It depicts the challenges of an aspiring artist in 1952, where the central character Rosalyn must defy the social norms of the time in order to pursue her passion for painting. A new version will be staged twice in Florence at  the Florence Playhouse, July 17th through 19th, and August 14th through 16th, sponsored by Fools Haven theater group, and again starring Nancy Hopps. Nancy spoke with Eric Alan about art, choices and healing in the KLCC studios.
