Wars are never truly over for veterans and their families, refugees, and citizens whose homelands are devastated. Photographer Jim Lommasson has explored those issues in his books Exit Wounds: Soldiers’ Stories—Life after Iraq and Afghanistan, and What We Carried: Fragments from the Cradle of Civilization. He’ll appear at Hard Knocks Brewing in Cottage Grove on Thursday, March 17th presenting Life After War: Photography and Oral Histories of Coming Home, sponsored by Oregon Humanities and the Opal Center for Arts and Education. Jim Lommasson joins Eric Alan to recount veterans' stories and the lessons they offer.
