Eugene Mayor Asks Governor To Declare Housing Emergency

Eugene Mayor Kitty Piercy wants Governor Kate Brown to declare a state of emergency in response to the housing crisis in Oregon.

In a press release, the mayor says waiting lists are long for available affordable housing and the number of homeless people continues to grow.

Mayor Piercy will hold a press conference Wednesday.
