The Eugene 4J School District is close to finalizing a schedule that will begin during 2018-2019 academic year. It’s holding a community forum Wednesday  from 5:30-6:30 p.m. at the 4J Education Center.

After some pushback on 4J’s original proposal, the school district has adjusted the potential changes.

At the forum, parents, students and staff will be able to share their opinions and ask questions about the first and second draft schedules. The school district is also collecting online surveys through Wednesday.

4J’s Kerry Delf acknowledges the consistent schedule is a big change, noting that there are currently 30 different schedules within the district.

“We also want to make sure that we have a final schedule that makes sense for our community and works well for as many family, students and staff as possible,” she says. “We are working to respond to the community input about the details of those schedules within the resources and parameters we have.”

4J expects to release final schedules within a few weeks.
