Some students in the Corvallis School District will have the opportunity to return to the classroom starting next week.

Like many districts that are easing back into in-person instruction, Corvallis is starting modestly. Kindergarten students will have the chance to be in the classroom two days a week. The district says it will add additional grades in subsequent weeks. Students and staff will have to be free of COVID symptoms and wear a mask that covers the nose and mouth. The district says its protocols are modeled on requirements set forth by the Oregon Department of Education and the Oregon Health Authority.

Online instruction will continue on days the students aren’t in the physical classroom. Parents who want their children to remain in an online learning model only will have that option for the rest of the school year.
