Dr. Marmor and Dr. Okma are visiting many of the City Clubs around Oregon thanks to the Oregon Chapter of Physicians for a National Health Program. Speakers:
Theodore H. Marmor, PhD, is emeritus professor of public policy of public policy and management at Yale University. He has written and presented extensively on social security, healthcare policy and healthcare reform since his participation in the creation of Medicare in 1965. In addition to many scholarly publications he is also a national senior doubles squash champion.
Kieke Okma, PhD, is a visiting professor at McGill University in Canada and has spoken around the world on international healthcare policy. She has served as a Senior Policy Advisor to the Ministry of Health, Welfare and Sport in Netherlands and as Advisor to the World Bank on Health policy. She has published in several languages and in 2011 in the prestigious New England Journal of Medicine.
