KLCC News Director, Reporters Honored At PRNDI Conference

Each year, PRNDI (Public Radio News Directors Incorporated) honors an individual or organization that has made significant contributions to public radio news.  The award is named in honor of its first recipient: Leo C. Lee, the founder of Western Public Radio, a San Francisco-based public radio training program.

This year's winner is KLCC News Director Tripp Sommer.

KLCC also received 2nd place awards in 3 categories at the PRNDI Conference in Washington D.C.

Rachael McDonald was awarded 2nd place in "Best Writing" for her piece "Devil's Staircase."

Jacob Lewin was awarded 2nd place for "Continuing Coverage" for "Latino Issues in Oregon."

Eric Alan was awarded 2nd place for "Best Interview" for his "Vietnam: An Inner View."

Congratulations to all!
